Beth Ann Bovino is the Chief Economist at U.S. Bank, bringing nearly three decades of expertise in macroeconomic and financial analysis. In her role, she leads the bank's economic research efforts, providing insights that inform both client strategies and internal financial planning.
Her journey into economics began during her undergraduate years at the University of Pennsylvania. Volunteering at a local food bank in Philadelphia exposed her to the challenges faced by individuals struggling with unemployment and poverty. She continued her studies, earning a master's in international economics from Yale University and a doctorate from Columbia University.
Before joining U.S. Bank in May 2023, Bovino served as the Chief U.S. Economist and Managing Director at S&P Global Ratings.
