Brad Feld is a seasoned entrepreneur, author, and venture capitalist with over three decades of experience in the technology sector. Born on December 1, 1965, in Arkansas and raised in Dallas, Texas, Feld displayed an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age. In 1987, while pursuing his studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), he co-founded Feld Technologies, a custom software development company. The company grew to 20 employees and nearly $2 million in annual revenue before its acquisition by AmeriData in 1993, where Feld served as Chief Technology Officer. Following his initial success, Feld co-founded Intensity Ventures, an early-stage investment firm, and later Mobius Venture Capital. In 2007, he co-founded Foundry Group, a Boulder, Colorado-based venture capital firm that focuses on early-stage technology investments. Foundry Group has raised multiple funds, each totaling $225 million, and has invested in numerous successful startups, including Harmonix, Zynga, MakerBot, and Fitbit. Beyond his investment activities, Feld co-founded Techstars in 2006, a global network of startup accelerators that has helped launch over 2,000 companies. He also co-founded the Anchor Point Foundation with his wife, Amy Batchelor, demonstrating his commitment to philanthropy. Feld actively contributes to several nonprofit organizations, serving as chair of the National Center for Women & Information Technology and the Global EIR Coalition, and holding board positions with Path Forward, the Kauffman Fellows, and Defy Ventures. An accomplished author and speaker, Feld has written several books on entrepreneurship and venture capital, including "Venture Deals" and "The Startup Community Way."
