Brent Hyder is a seasoned human resources executive with a career spanning over three decades in both retail and technology sectors. As of September 2023, he serves as the Chief People Officer at VF Corporation, the parent company of renowned brands like The North Face, Vans, Timberland, and Dickies. In this role, Hyder is responsible for overseeing global human resources functions and implementing strategies to enhance employee and business success across VF's extensive workforce. Before joining VF Corporation, Hyder spent nearly four years at Salesforce as President and Chief People Officer. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in cultivating a values-driven culture and prioritizing employee wellbeing, especially during the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. His leadership contributed to Salesforce earning top spots on various "Best Places to Work" lists, including those by Fortune and Glassdoor. Hyder's extensive experience in the retail industry includes a 15-year tenure at Gap Inc., where he held several senior management positions. Notably, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer, overseeing human resources, communications, security, the Gap Inc. Foundation, and sustainability initiatives worldwide.
