Caleb B. Carr is the President and CEO of Vita Inclinata Technologies, a Denver-based aerospace and industrial safety technology company. He co-founded the company to develop innovative solutions that enhance safety and efficiency in rescue operations and industrial lifting. Vita Inclinata's flagship products, the Vita Rescue System and the Vita Load Navigator, address critical challenges in stabilizing loads during helicopter rescues and crane operations. Carr's journey into the field of safety technology began at the age of 15 when he was training as a volunteer search-and-rescue technician in Oregon. During a night-training mission, his instructor suffered a cardiac arrest, and the rescue helicopter was unable to lower the rescue basket due to uncontrollable swinging caused by wind and rotor wash. This tragic event inspired Carr to pursue solutions to improve the safety and effectiveness of rescue operations. He graduated from the University of Colorado at Denver with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy. Carr earned his Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, focusing on corporate law and civil litigation. He is admitted to the bar for the District of Columbia and the Federal Bar of Colorado. Currently, Carr is completing his Master’s in Business Administration at Penn State University. In addition to his role at Vita Inclinata, Carr serves as an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at the University of Colorado. He continues to be actively involved in public service as a volunteer firefighter and search-and-rescue technician. Carr has been recognized with several accolades, including Forbes 30 Under 30 in Manufacturing and Industry, Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Desert Mountain Region, and Titan 100 CEO. He has been featured in various media outlets, such as Forbes, CNN, CNBC, Fast Company, and NBC News. Carr's leadership extends beyond his company; he was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Software in Defense Coalition, where he contributes to advancing defense innovation and supporting the adoption of emerging technologies within the Department of Defense. His work continues to impact the fields of aerospace, industrial safety, and defense technology.
