Vinny Boles Speaker Profile: At A Glance

Major General Vincent E. Boles is a retired general officer in the United States Army and served as the 33rd Chief of Ordnance and Commandant of the U.S. Army Ordnance School at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland. After his retirement, Vinny transitioned to writing and speaking. His book, "4-3-2-1 Leadership: What America's Sons & Daughters Taught Me on the Road From 2nd Lieutenant to Two Star General", goes in-depth not only about his experience in the military but life and leadership as well. Today, he is the president of Vincent E. Boles Inc; a leadership and logistics consulting practice.

Major General Vincent Boles, USA (Ret.), was commissioned as a Distinguished Military Graduate from the Army ROTC program at Niagara University in 1976. Over a distinguished 33-year career, he held command at every possible level and participated in multiple combat deployments. His final Army assignment was as the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, G4, on the Army Staff in the Pentagon, where he oversaw logistics operations and readiness for the Army's 1.1 million soldiers, including support for the surges in Iraq and Afghanistan. After retiring in 2009, Major General Boles founded Vincent E. Boles, Inc., a leadership and logistics consulting firm based in Madison, Alabama. He has delivered speeches and conducted workshops nationwide and internationally, focusing on enhancing team performance under the theme "Best Getting Better." His clients have included Deloitte, Fidelity, USAA, Ernst and Young, AIG, the United States Secret Service, the Boy Scouts of America, and the American College. He authored 4-3-2-1 Leadership…What America’s Sons and Daughters Taught Me on the Road from 2d Lieutenant to 2 Star General. Now in its third printing, the book has been praised for offering leadership insights relevant beyond military audiences. In recognition of his service, Major General Boles was inducted into the U.S. Army Ordnance Corps and Niagara University ROTC Halls of Fame in 2011. He also serves as an adjunct professor of Leadership and Logistics at the University of Alabama Huntsville and the Defense Acquisition University – South.
