Brian Collins is the Chief Creative Officer and co-founder of COLLINS, a design and brand transformation firm with offices in New York City and San Francisco. Established in 2008 alongside Leland Maschmeyer, COLLINS began with modest resources—two laptops and four desks—and has since earned recognition as one of the leading creative agencies in the industry. The firm has garnered accolades such as Ad Age's "Design Agency of the Year" and has been named by Forbes as one of the companies reshaping the future of brand building.
Prior to founding COLLINS, Brian served as Chief Creative Officer of the Brand Integration Group at Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide for a decade. During his tenure, he led high-profile projects for clients including Coca-Cola, IBM, Nike, and Dove. Notably, his team launched the Dove "Campaign for Real Beauty," which received the Media Image Award from the National Organization for Women. Additionally, the design of BP's Helios House in Los Angeles, a sustainable gas station, earned a place in the permanent collection of the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.
Beyond his work at COLLINS, Brian has been a professor in the Graduate Program at the School of Visual Arts in New York City since 2001. He is also a director of The One Club for Creativity, an organization dedicated to recognizing creative excellence in design and advertising. His contributions to the field have been acknowledged with honors such as the Claude Shannon Luminary Award from Nokia/Bell Labs and an Honorary Doctorate from the ArtCenter College of Design.
