Brian McAndrews is a seasoned executive with a distinguished career spanning digital advertising, technology, and media. He served as Chairman, CEO, and President of Pandora Media from 2013 to 2016, leading the company through a period of significant growth and transformation. Under his leadership, Pandora expanded its advertising business and solidified its position as a leader in internet radio. Prior to his tenure at Pandora, McAndrews was the CEO of aQuantive, a digital marketing services and technology company that was acquired by Microsoft for $6.3 billion in 2007. Following the acquisition, he became Senior Vice President of Microsoft's Advertiser & Publisher Solutions group. Before his time at aQuantive and Microsoft, McAndrews held executive positions at General Mills and ABC Television Network, including roles at ABC Sports and ABC Primetime Entertainment. After leaving Pandora, McAndrews joined Madrona Venture Group as a venture partner, focusing on early-stage technology companies. He currently serves on the boards of The New York Times Company, Grubhub, and AppNexus, and has previously served on the boards of Chewy, Teladoc, and Fisher Communications. McAndrews holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is also a minority owner of the Seattle Sounders FC and serves as an independent director on the board of USA Climbing.
