A Cleveland native, Kociuba’s interest in aviation began at a young age. At 11, she witnessed a B-2 flyover during the Rose Bowl Parade, an experience that left a lasting impression. Initially pursuing a career in medicine, she shifted her focus to aviation after joining the Air Force ROTC at the University of Dayton. Graduating in 2012, she was commissioned as an officer and began her flying career as a KC-10 pilot. In 2021, Kociuba made history as the first female pilot to lead a Super Bowl flyover, commanding a B-2 Spirit in a triple-bomber formation over Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. The mission involved meticulous planning and coordination, showcasing her leadership and precision. With over 1,700 flying hours across five different aircraft and more than 90 combat missions, she continues to inspire future generations of aviators. Beyond her flying duties, Kociuba is committed to mentoring young pilots.
