Daniel Walker is a former F-22 Raptor Mission Commander, Harvard-trained civil litigation attorney, and in-demand keynote speaker whose transition from combat pilot to courtroom advocate was chronicled on CBS 60 Minutes. Daniel flew more than 1,200 hours in the world's most advanced 5th-generation stealth fighter, leading over 1,300 missions including combat operations over Syria and Iraq. Aircraft flown include the T-6, T-38, F-16, and F-22, and he also holds civil aircraft certifications in multiple countries. As a Fighter Fundamentals Instructor Pilot he trained allied pilots from around the world, and as one of fewer than 50 Black fighter pilots in the U.S. Air Force at the time, he served as a bridge-builder between communities that rarely share the same room. After a pivotal conversation with Lt. Gen. Brad Webb during the summer of 2020, Daniel resigned his commission and matriculated to Harvard Law School. Today Daniel practices law in Texas and California as a civil litigation attorney and works on reparations policy. His keynote portfolio, anchored by the APEX Cycle (Anticipate, Prepare, Execute, Xamine), translates fighter-pilot decision architecture into actionable frameworks for leaders through a mix of story telling and socio-political commentary. Signature talks include APEX, GRIT, REDEPLOYED, and the Glass Ladder. He is the author of "Aiming Higher: A Journey Through Military Aviation Leadership," and has delivered 50+ keynotes on four continents for Google, Microsoft, Procter & Gamble, Red Bull, Rabobank, Roche, Cisco, Siemens, Nike, Intuit, YPO, the CEO Institute, Harvard Law, Harvard Kennedy School, Yale Law, Hampton University, and the Pat Tillman Foundation.
"Book this guy again. Summit 2025. Main stage. Easily my favourite presenter since being at The CEO Institute. Extremely engaging, topical and relevant, and unlike some other presentations, it was clearly articulated so that it is easily applied." — The CEO Institute, Syndicate No. 78 (December 2023) "Daniel Walker's presentation was an absolute highlight at the National Broker Partnerships Team Conference in Brisbane. Daniel's engaging and entertaining style kept the crowd energised, especially as the first speaker on the second day. Daniel provided practical examples on planning, implementation, and review, emphasising the importance of structured debriefs. His humility and courage in sharing personal experiences made a huge impact on the entire team, and everyone commented on how fantastic his session was. We highly recommend Daniel for any event seeking an inspiring and impactful speaker." — Suncorp Bank Broker Partnerships Team (October 2024) "Loved the speaker today, very inspiring individual. Unbelievable stories, truly inspiring, very humbling, makes you realize how lucky we are. Running a business will never be as difficult as flying a jet for the U.S. Air Force." — The CEO Institute, Syndicate No. 70 (December 2023) "I think it was the most engaging speaker all year. Great content, and he grabbed everyone's attention." — The CEO Institute, Future CEO No. 120 (December 2023).
