Retired Navy SEAL Jason Redman is the New York Times Bestselling author of the Trident, capturing a 21-year career and journey in leadership serving with the US Navy SEAL Teams. He has taken those lessons learned and is now sharing his motivational message with companies, teams, churches, and individuals across the globe through motivational speaking, workshops, personal coaching, and business consulting. His message of leadership, teamwork, the overcome Mindset, and surviving life ambushes by “Getting off the X” resonates with companies and individuals alike. Jason Redman joined the Navy on September 11, 1992, and served eleven years as an enlisted SEAL. He was selected for the Seaman to Admiral commissioning program and attended Old Dominion University, graduating Summa Cum Laude in May 2004. While there, he served as Student Battalion Commanding Officer with the Hampton Roads Naval ROTC before being commissioned as a SEAL Officer. Over the next four years, Lieutenant Redman completed combat deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq. On September 13, 2007, near Fallujah, Iraq, his assault team came under heavy machine gun and small arms fire, during which he was severely wounded. While recovering at Bethesda Naval Medical Center, Redman authored a now-famous bright orange sign on his door, which became a symbol for wounded warriors everywhere. In 2010, while still on active duty and recovering, Redman founded a clothing line and a nonprofit organization aimed at inspiring combat-wounded warriors to overcome challenges. As executive director, he led the organization for nearly a decade, raising almost $3 million and supporting thousands of wounded warriors. After 21 years of service, Redman retired from the Navy in November 2013 and founded SOF Spoken LLC, a speaking company offering inspirational presentations on leadership, teamwork, and overcoming adversity to businesses, first responders, sports teams, and government organizations. Jason Redman is the author of the New York Times bestselling book The Trident: The Forging and Reforging of a Navy SEAL Leader, which shares leadership lessons and his experiences in combat and personal growth. His second book, Overcome: How to Crush Adversity with Leadership Techniques of America’s Toughest Warriors, released in December 2019, provides a step-by-step action plan for tackling adversity in all aspects of life. Today, Jason focuses on helping individuals, companies, and teams overcome challenges through his workshops, online programs, executive coaching, and consulting services. His group coaching initiatives aim to empower participants to navigate through life’s obstacles effectively. Jason has delivered a TED Talk and appeared on numerous national news outlets, including Fox News, CBS, CNN, and CBN. He is a frequent guest on shows such as Fox and Friends and The Huckabee Show and has been featured in documentaries, including the History Channel’s Navy SEALs: America’s Secret Warriors.
