Rachel Lindsay Speaker Profile: At A Glance
Rachel Lindsay is an attorney, media personality, speaker, and podcaster. She made history as the first Black lead on ABC’s The Bachelorette after appearing on The Bachelor. She hosts Higher Learning with Van Lathan and the Morally Corrupt podcast, and is the author of Miss Me With That and the novel Real Love. A former ESPN and NFL Network host, she holds a sports management degree from UT Austin and a J.D. from Marquette University Law School.
Rachel Lindsay is an author, attorney, and media personality who currently co-hosts the Higher Learning podcast and the Morally Corrupt podcast. Prior to her media career, she practiced law at Cooper & Scully, P.C. in Dallas.
In 2022, Rachel authored a collection of essays titled Miss Me With That: Hot Takes, Helpful Tidbits, and a Few Hard Truths. She made her fiction debut in March 2023 with her novel Real Love and has another essay collection in the works, inspired by life’s latest plot twist.
Rachel previously co-hosted MTV’s Ghosted: Love Gone Missing and co-hosted the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast. Additionally, she has worked as a guest host for ESPN’s First Take, ABC’s The View, The Real, Access Hollywood, and the NFL Network. She formerly co-hosted ESPN Radio’s Football Frenzy, GTL, and Game Night, as well as the NFL’s Amazon Prime show, The Drive. She has also hosted her own Bachelor segment on Strahan, Sara, & Keke and was a frequent contributor to The Steve Harvey Show, including hosting the special “Love Elevated.”
Rachel has worked as a collegiate basketball sideline reporter for Conference USA and Stadium. Prior to sideline reporting, she worked for organizations including the Milwaukee Bucks, the National Basketball Association, the National Sports Law Institute, Rice University Compliance Department, University of Texas at Austin Media Relations Department, and Capital Sports and Entertainment.
She has made appearances on numerous television networks and contributed to sports television and radio shows, including CNN, HLN, ABC, ESPN, NBC, LHN, E! News, Bravo, The View, Strahan & Sara, Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, The Real, SC6, The Wendy Williams Show, The Tom Joyner Morning Show, Sister Circle (TV One), DirectTV Fantasy Zone, Good Morning America, Live with Kelly and Ryan, The Ryan Seacrest Morning Show, The Steve Harvey Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Ellen Show, Dateline, Good Morning Texas, and more.
Rachel earned an undergraduate degree in sports management from the University of Texas at Austin and later received her law degree from Marquette University Law School with a concentration in sports law. She previously worked at Cooper & Scully, P.C. in Dallas, where she represented clients in a broad range of litigation matters in state and federal court, including local government law, personal injury, employment, sports and entertainment, and insurance defense.
Rachel is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., serves on the advisory council for the University of Texas at Austin College of Education, and is an ambassador for the College Football Playoff Foundation. She also supports Paw Works and Project Angel Food.
She lives in Los Angeles with her dogs, Copper and Brownie.
