After surviving childhood sexual abuse and spending 18 years in prison, including 19 months in solitary confinement, Sonny transformed his journey into a mission of healing and justice. His lived experience gives him a unique perspective that resonates deeply with audiences of all kinds—from youth and educators to justice professionals and lawmakers.
He is the author of Hey, White Boy: Conversations of Redemption and a frequent guest on platforms such as Soft White Underbelly, The Hopeaholics Podcast, RecoveryView, and A Prisoner’s Pardon. His ability to connect across lines of difference and to speak with both intensity and compassion makes him a sought-after voice in the movement to reimagine justice and recovery.

A classically trained vocalist and multidisciplinary creator, STORRY uses music, storytelling, and live performance to challenge stigma and reclaim narrative. Her work blends genres—ranging from soul and hip hop to opera —making each performance both unexpected and deeply moving.
Her work has been featured internationally. As a survivor of human trafficking and gender-based violence, she brings both lived experience and artistic excellence to stages, panels, and campaigns that demand depth and authenticity. STORRY doesn’t just perform—she creates space for reflection, honesty, and transformation.
