Steve Burns Speaker Profile: At A Glance
Steve Burns is an American actor and television host best known as the original host of the groundbreaking preschool series Blue’s Clues (1996–2002), which earned him a Daytime Emmy nomination. He has continued to shape the franchise as a writer, director, and producer on Blue’s Clues & You. Today, Burns re-examines the message of empowerment he once shared with a generation of children—now adults navigating new challenges—through his keynote talks and his new podcast ALIVE, where he explores creativity, resilience, and the pursuit of meaning.
Steve Burns is an Emmy-nominated actor best known as “Steve” from Nickelodeon’s Blue’s Clues and the Paramount+ feature film Blue’s Big City Adventure. A musician as well, he released the acclaimed album Songs For Dustmites and, with Flaming Lips’ Steven Drozd, recorded Foreverywhere, later adapted into an Audible Original named one of the year’s best audiobooks. He also wrote and performed the theme for Young Sheldon, where he appears as a recurring guest star.
In Fall 2025, Burns expands his storytelling with ALIVE, a new podcast exploring wonder, memory, and the human experience. Alongside his decades-long voiceover work and his writing and directing for Blue’s Clues & You!, Burns continues to inspire audiences with creativity and authenticity.
