Candice Morgan is a seasoned leader in equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), currently serving as the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Partner at GV (formerly Google Ventures). In this role, she develops and implements inclusive strategies for GV and its portfolio companies, aiming to expand diversity among the entrepreneurs the firm funds. Before joining GV, Candice was the first Head of Inclusion & Diversity at Pinterest, where she led initiatives to increase underrepresented talent and foster an inclusive company culture. She also worked closely with product teams to develop features that enhanced the platform's inclusivity, such as the introduction of skin tone ranges in beauty searches. Candice began her career at Catalyst, a nonprofit organization focused on women in business, where she spent nearly a decade advising Fortune 500 companies on change management and organizational transformation. Her clients included major corporations like RBC, Deutsche Bank, The Coca-Cola Company, Boston Consulting Group, and Nestlé. In addition to her professional roles, Candice co-founded the Black Angel Group, an initiative aimed at expanding participation in angel investing among Black professionals. The group has grown to over 300 members and has invested close to $8 million in early-stage startups. Candice holds a B.S. in Psychology and Business from Carnegie Mellon University and an M.Sc. in Cross-Cultural Psychology from Brunel University in London. Her contributions to the field have been recognized by Fast Company, which named her one of the Most Creative People in Business, and by The Root, which included her in its list of 100 Most Influential African Americans in 2017.
