Sarita Maybin is a seasoned keynote speaker and workplace communication expert who shows audiences how to transform uncomfortable conversations into constructive communication and work together better. With real stories, real-world solutions, and a relatable presence, she empowers people to break down barriers and strengthen relationships. Over the past two decades, she has shared strategies to strengthen communication, collaboration, and positivity in the midst of change. She is the author of If You Can’t Say Something Nice, What DO You Say? and her second book, Say What You Mean in a Nice Way. Her message has resonated with clients such as the American Dental Association, Million Dollar Round Table, National Conference of State Legislatures, the Department of the Navy, and the University of California, along with hundreds of other organizations. Sarita has presented in all 50 states, 10 countries, including Iceland, and on the prestigious TEDx stage. She is a former university dean of students with a master’s degree in counseling and she held leadership positions at four state universities. She is also a past president of a National Speakers Association chapter and a past San Diego area YMCA board member. Raised as a “military brat” moving from country to country, Sarita learned early how to make fast friends, navigate change, and thrive in stressful situations. She quickly discovered that it’s not just what you say, but how you say it that matters.
